Hoper and Hunza Valleys
Trekking and Sightseeing
Introduction
This trip combines a moderate trek with sightseeing in the Hunza Valley: the perfect tour for those looking for the best of both worlds.
Hoper refers to five villages that lie along the Bualtar Glacier and incidentally there are five glacier crossings. This is a relatively easy trek that goes through the fertile valley and offers spectacular views of the Golden Peak (also known as Spantik).
We will visit the UNESCO world heritage site of Taxila, visit the historic sights of Hunza valley, including an 1100 year old castle and a 1000 year old village. We will also visit accessible glacial lakes including Borit and Attabad lake. We return to Gilgit for sightseeing before flying back to Islamabad.
